Miriam P. Brenner Children’s Museum summer camps are hands-on, educational, creative, exciting, and FUN! Each week, our educators craft creative experiences for campers ages 4 – 10 years. MBCM camps are three days to week-long day camps, and range in theme from exploring cooking techniques to designing animations! Your camper can discover food, science, nature, art, music, and more.

Shoot for the moon, but don’t stop there! In this space-specialized, explorer-preparedness camp, we’ll explore rockets, rovers, and red giants! Book & Cook
June 17-21
*No camp on Wednesday for Juneteenth
There are so many amazing children’s books about food! Using stories as inspiration, campers will use seasonal ingredients to create kid-friendly cuisine they will love preparing and eating. On Friday afternoon, campers can invite a grown up of their choice to join us for one last story and recipe together.
Messes & Masterpieces
July 1-3
*No camp on Thursday or Friday
Each day, we’ll introduce a famous artist and style, using a variety of media. Activities will encourage hands-on exploration of art concepts and techniques all while embracing the fun and, of course, mess. At the end of the week, artists will have a portfolio of their very own masterpieces to take home after our art exhibition!
Little Farmers in the City
July 15-19
Experience the life of a city farmer for the week! Each day, we will explore the garden, taking care of the plants and animals. We will also visit the local farmer’s market and learn about growing and selling food in our community. On the last day of camp, families are invited to shop our very own market hosted by the campers.
Ocean Adventures
August 19-23
Ahoy, land lubbers and scaly-tails alike! In this ocean themed camp, we will sing our way into a pirate’s life with games and sea shanties, as well as explore the science and mystery below the surf! Join us on Friday for a seafaring musical performance.
Ages 6-8 Camps
Nature Makers

Learn about natural materials as we forage the garden for inspiration. We will learn about plant parts and then use them to create works of art, garden snacks, and more! Families are invited to join us on Friday as we showcase our nature-inspired creations
Myth Busters
July 8-12
Ever wonder what would happen if…? This week, it’s up to the campers to conduct experiments to figure out facts from fiction! We’ll use chemistry, engineering, and teamwork to figure out what happens when we put materials and our minds to the test. Families are invited to join us on Friday for demonstration of our discoveries
Farmers in Training
July 29-August 2
Calling all aspiring farmers! Learn how to plant, harvest, make value-added products, and design your own logo to market your farm. We will take a trip to the farmers market to see what local farmers are growing. Then we will use our fruits and vegetables in the kitchen classroom while learning to cook with seasonal produce for sampling on the final farmer’s market day!
Design It, Build It
August 5-9
If you love upcycling, this camp is for you! Americans throw away tons and TONS of cardboard each year. Let’s reimagine this common household staple into everything from fine art to forts. We’ll learn all about using tools safely and practice skills we need to make our visions come to life. Join us on Friday for a final showcase of our work.

Farm Chefs

Plant, cook, and eat like a farmer in The Edible Schoolyard! We’ll learn to prepare simple snacks from the garden and take a deep dive into food preservation techniques like drying, pickling, and freezing to enjoy the summer harvest longer. We will take a trip to the farmers market to learn about locally grown and made foods. Families are invited to celebrate on Friday with a garden gathering hosted by campers!
