tropical green smoothie
ingredients
2 cups spinach
2 cups coconut milk
1 teaspoon chia seeds, optional (soaked for 10-15 minutes in 3-4 tablespoons water will help them to blend better)
1 cup pineapple
1 cup frozen mango
2 bananas
1 tablespoon coconut oil
directions
- Wash greens, and ask kids to tear leaves into small pieces.
- Add all ingredients into the blender. Blend well.
strawberry green smoothie
ingredients
2 cups fresh spinach
1 cups water
1 cup orange juice
½ cup yogurt
6-8 strawberries, fresh or frozen
1 banana, frozen
directions
- Tightly pack 2 cups of spinach in a measuring cup and then toss into blender.
- Add water and orange juice, and blend until all leafy chunks are gone.
- Add the yogurt, strawberries, and banana. Blend until smooth.
berry green smoothie
ingredients
2 cups spinach, swiss chard, or kale
2-3 bananas
2 cups plain yogurt
1 bag frozen fruit, an assortment of strawberries, blueberries, cherries or other favorites
1 cup apple juice
Optional honey to taste
directions
- Wash greens, and ask kids to tear leaves into small pieces.
- Add all ingredients into the blender. Blend well. Taste and honey, if desired.
