COVID-19 Emergency Fund Donors

On March 15, 2020 Greensboro Children’s Museum temporarily closed its doors to the public due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. The Museum knew it would have to dig deep into its creative and financial pockets in order to weather the storm. The education & operations teams swung into action to try and create new, viable revenue streams and ensure that the children and families of Greensboro still had somewhere to turn (even if it was online) for fun, hands-on learning. After almost six months of closure it became apparent that the Museum could no longer forge ahead on its own and turned to its community for help. Within four weeks the COVID-19 Emergency fund raised close to $200,000 in operating capital. The Museum, and the community that has come to love it, in addition to the Museum staff and board are eternally grateful to the following individuals for sailing to the rescue in a time of great need.
